Andrew H. Cummins
Andrew Cummins is founder and Managing Partner for Explorador Capital. Prior to starting Explorador, he worked at Emerging Markets Investment Corp., in Washington , DC . Andrew also previously worked in the acquisitions group of JMB Realty Corporation in Chicago , where his transaction experience included corporate and real estate acquisitions and financings.
Andrew sits on the board of directors of PazCorp, a publicly traded, low-income homebuilder, based in Chile . He is also on the investment committee of Paladin Latin America Realty Partners.
Andrew holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School with a focus on corporate strategy and finance. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in undergraduate business administration from The Haas School of at the University of California at Berkeley . At Berkeley , he was selected commencement speaker at graduation ceremonies, elected Senator of the student body government, and was awarded a Nikko Securities Fellowship to Tokyo , Japan .
Andrew has traveled, worked and studied in Latin America since 1983. He has lived in Chile ,as an AFS exchange student and is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Portuguese. He has been a guest speaker at the Universidad Católica in Santiago and at the Universidad de Chile. Andrew was selected as a national finalist for the White House Fellows program in 1994.
Andrew is a member of the board of trustees of the World Affairs Council of San Francisco and is on the business advisory network for www.nesst.org .
